WOMEN-OWNED WICHITA FALLS
Women-Owned Wichita Falls was developed as an independent research and photography project centered around community storytelling, local entrepreneurship, and visual communication. The project was created to highlight the impact of women-owned businesses throughout Wichita Falls while fostering stronger community connection and visibility through photography and digital media.
The initiative began with a public call for nominations, allowing community members to recommend women-owned businesses to feature. From there, I coordinated and conducted environmental portrait sessions on location, capturing each business owner within their workspace to authentically reflect their personality, brand, and story. In addition to photography, I edited all imagery, conducted interviews, wrote business spotlights, and designed and developed the accompanying website platform to showcase each feature.
Beyond the creative and technical aspects, the project focused heavily on relationship-building and community engagement. Through direct outreach and collaboration with local business owners, the project became a platform that celebrated entrepreneurship while strengthening connections within the Wichita Falls community.
Women-Owned Wichita Falls received First Place in Undergraduate Research and served as a culmination of my interests in photography, marketing, public relations, and community-centered storytelling.
IB Texas Recruitment Video
This video was created for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Texas website during my work with the Midwestern State University Admissions Office. The project focused on showcasing the university experience and highlighting opportunities available to prospective IB students through engaging visual storytelling and student-focused communication.
Responsibilities included filming, editing, content development, and visual direction. The video was designed to support recruitment and outreach efforts while creating an informative and engaging digital resource for prospective students exploring higher education opportunities in Texas.
